Today at visualise our new apprentice graphic designer Meg Garratt has started with us.
Straight from 6th form college, Meg was one of 10 candidates for the position. Special thanks to the 3AAA for the quality of candidates put forward, every single one of them was excellent, however there could be only one! Meg’s attitude in the interview and keeness to learn and attention to detail along with some ‘seal of the deal’ comments such as being an avid Star Wars fan, liking a broad range of music and working on a mac meant that we thought she was the girl for the job.
Meg’s role within the company is to be an understudy to Jim, our head graphic designer and to eventually take on some of the workload from him, learn all the programs such as photoshop, illustrator and indesign and transfer her natural flare for design across to the media platforms. As well as creating brands, front end web designing and graphic design, Meg will also be responsible for digital marketing for many of our on-board clients. One role she will be particularly involved with will be our new collaboration with the Norwich Kitty Networking Group where from the 12th of September 2016 Visualise will be launching the NEW and greatly improved website which will feature more functionality, membership benefits, directory based to name but a few and Meg will be helping to run the email marketing campaign and help spreading the word.
Being the newest member of the visualise team Meg will also take on the mantel of chief tea and coffee maker. We will of course be giving her full training in this as well over this week to ensure that the standard we have achieved for our coffee making for every client that comes in for a meeting in the office is seamlessly continued. Somethings just can’t be overlooked!!!!
It’s the end of Meg’s ‘Day 1’ and we are sure that she will become a valuable member of the team as her confidence and abilities flourish within the company.
