BRAND NAME, BRAND IMAGE & WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT FOR THIS SUCCESSFUL LASHES, TANNING & BEAUTY SALON

Glambox is a professional lashes, tanning and beauty salon in Norwich. Their fully trained and experienced therapists always deliver a professional service, leaving you feeling more glamorous than when you arrived!

Visualise knew Charlotte Croft (the owner of Glambox) after we designed and developed the original Glambox website in 2015. We had also created the branding, gift vouchers, price lists and business cards — which you can read about here — to great success. So, when Charlotte decided to expand Glambox in 2017, she naturally returned to Visualise, asking us to create a whole new image for the business.

Charlotte wanted the new brand to look sophisticated and modern, with a focus on a copper and rose gold colour scheme to match her new premises on St Benedicts Street. Also, she wanted to highlight that Glambox was developing as a business, expanding into new services, such as massages, intimate waxing and LVL lashes.

As soon as we received the brief, the Visualise team got straight down to work!

The brand was getting a complete overhaul, so we would have to update the logo, price lists, appointment cards and shop front. But, most importantly, we needed to create an amazing new website to launch on Tuesday 5th December, to coincide with the official opening of the NEW Glambox premises.

First, we redesigned the brand itself. Utilising the copper and rose gold colour scheme, we used a scripted typeface to create an elegant, yet sophisticated design. We added a frame around the name, referencing the “box” element of “Glambox”. Once Charlotte approved the logo, we began to incorporate the new brand into the appointment cards, treatment lists, gift vouchers and shopfront, which you can see below.

For the appointment cards, gift vouchers and treatment lists, we had foil embossed over the Glambox logo to create an awesome shimmer effect. It really reinforces the metallic colour scheme, and adds that extra special touch to the final product for a truly sophisticated, classy design.

The signage for the salon was really fun to create. The Glambox logo is metallic, and will have a spotlight above it to bring out the different shades of copper. For the tagline (lashes, tanning, beauty), we used a bold, modern font. To reinforce the glamour of Glambox, we made it look like lights were decorating the text, referencing vintage broadway light bulb signs. Also, the windows are tinted rose gold to match the brand and interior colour scheme, which is pretty awesome!

The next stage was to create a fully responsive website.

Again, we utilised the copper and rose gold colour scheme throughout the website. As Charlotte wanted the design to be modern and sophisticated, we opted for a minimalist design. We used a checkerboard layout to highlight the key services provided by Glambox: lashes, tanning and beauty. When visitors hovers over the images, a link will appear so they can find out more information. A banner at the top of the page encourages clients to book an appointment and view the full list of treatments.

The treatments are also arranged in a checkerboard style. For the titles, we used both a block, sans serif font and a scripted typeface for an effective contrast. This allowed us to keep with Charlotte’s modern, sophisticated vision, while also referencing the script-like typeface in the logo.

Each treatment page includes a list of prices and more information about the service. A revolving slider featuring pictures of the treatment is also prominent. It was important that we continually push the services of Glambox. Therefore, we added a link to each page, encouraging visitors to purchase a voucher or book an appointment. We also expanded the reviews page to feature as many positive testimonials as possible.
